Appearance: Dave has light blond hair (“yes its natural quit fucking asking”), with bangs that wave more or less depending on the day. He has pale skin and red eyes hidden behind dark aviators that were given to him by a dear friend, and also happen to keep away the nargles…whatever those are. He’s always been the shorter twin, especially after Dirk had hit an early growth spurt. However, the summer before his sixth year, Dave finally reached over six feet. Though, even at a staggering 6’2, he still falls an inch short of his brother’s height. He has a long, lanky body, with a wingspan that helped him become an immediate consideration for the position of Keeper on the Gryffindor quidditch team. When not having to be in uniform, Dave takes every chance he can get to throw on a hoodie and a pair of sweatpants- he’s grown rather sick of ties.

Personality: The first thing likely to be noticed about Dave is his quirky humor and affinity for various levels of ironicism. His constant references to events and celebrities outside of the wizarding world confuse many, but that’s just kind of how Dave is and likes to be- a total enigma. Dave’s intelligence should not be forgotten; similarly to how his façade of a cool exterior to cover up his terribly low self-esteem should be noted (Dave is also somewhat more mature and socially tactful than in the comic since he grew up around people and with Dirk as a filter). Despite his impish charm, Dave is quieter than most would assume, considering his tendencies to cause trouble and fall into the position of the class clown. He can’t hold his tongue very well and often finds himself in detention due to this fact. Though Dave is blunt and kind of a total prick, he also cares about his friends more than anything, and is willing to let his own insecurities and fears surface to help them. His selflessness is something the Sorting Hat had immediately recognized back when he was a first year. With this, in addition to being witty and handsome, Dave would consider himself to be the whole damn package, pre-wrapped in festive paper and complete with postage.
Background (Why Hogwarts? Childhood? Any connections to other characters?): Bro sends Dave every year to Hogwarts to master his magic, along with his twin brother, Dirk. Dave grew up watching quidditch matches on TV, and always had a small dream of being part of a team. So, at a young age, Bro taught Dirk and Dave how to fly and put them in scenarios that most parents or guardians would find questionable. However, it is due to this that Dirk and Dave have the mindset for DADA and excel at it. Dave is looking forward to learning apparition, though he’s not quite old enough yet. His humble Irish family is fairly well-off, and never forgets to stop and take time to appreciate the multi-faceted pedagogue that is irony.
